    The Shtisels live in the Ultra orthodox Jewish community of Antwerp. Nukhem is a merchant, mostly selling jewelry, him and his wife struggle to marry their only daughter. Libbie is a teacher with a passion for writing.

    Nukhem is hurt by the breakup from his wife, but Yiddis is determined to divorce him right after they marry their daughter. Libbie asks her father to arrange a meeting with the man from the tram but he objects.
