Archita Sahu, born June 29, 1990, is an acclaimed Indian actress, model, and television personality who predominantly works in the Odia film industry. Born in Rourkela and raised in Bhubaneswar, she brings a diverse educational and artistic background to her career. She graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from KIIT University in 2011. Additionally, she is a classically trained Odissi dancer who earned a national scholarship for her skills. Her entry into the limelight began through beauty pageants, where she was crowned Miss Kalinga in 2004 and later named first runner up in Kolkata's regional Femina Miss India pageant in 2013.
Despite her success in pageantry, which often serves as a traditional stepping stone to Bollywood, Sahu chose to build her primary career in Odia cinema. She made her acting debut in 2005 with the film O My Love, credited mononymously as Archita. Over the years, she has delivered critically acclaimed and commercially successful performances in films like Babu I Love You, Pagala Karichi Paunji Tora, Chocolate, and ACP Sagarika. Her exceptional talent has been recognized with four prestigious Odisha State Film Awards, along with numerous other accolades including Tarang Cine Awards and Filmfare Awards East. Expanding her horizons, she made her dual Bengali and Hindi cinema debut portraying Moina Bai in the biographical film The Light: Swami Vivekananda.
